Assembly

To protect the grinding mechanism during shipping, the handle is stored inside the body of the mill. To assemble:

1. Unscrew the top knob and remove the lid
2. Retrieve the handle from inside the mill
3. Fit the handle onto the shaft
4. Reattach the lid and tighten the knob

Once assembled, the mill is ready for immediate use.

Using Your Mill

Pepper mills are designed for standard peppercorns only.

Salt mills are suitable for dry sea or rock salt only. Avoid wet, flaky, or grey salts, which can clog the mechanism.

Refill regularly to keep contents fresh and maintain optimal grinding performance.

Cleaning and Maintenance

Never wash your mill in water or in a dishwasher. To clean:

• Disassemble the mill for refilling: remove top knob, handle, and internal shaft
• Use a soft brush and dry cloth to clean all parts
• Plastic components (salt mills only) may be rinsed and dried thoroughly
• Reassemble only when fully dry

Regular maintenance keeps the mechanism performing smoothly and prolongs the life of your mill.

Polishing and Preserving the Exterior

Brass naturally develops a patina over time, adding character and charm. If you prefer a polished look:

• Use a soft cloth with a mild metal cleaner e.g. Brasso
  
• Store in a cool, dry place to prevent corrosion
